L Lockdowns Limited by Law — Never Again by Decree
Emergency Powers = Danger to Our Way of Life
We all remember what they did to us. Businesses shuttered. Churches closed. Parents were told their children couldn't attend school — not because it was safer, but because teachers unions had more influence over school policy than the parents and communities those schools exist to serve. All of it decided by one official, without a vote, without a debate, without an end date.
In the government we voted for, our elected representatives make the laws — not a single official with unchecked power over our lives, our businesses, our churches, and our families.
Here's how we take our power back:
Require the General Assembly to vote — out loud, on the record — to authorize any emergency order within 72 hours or it dies
Cap emergency powers at 14 days — renewable only by a vote of the people's representatives, not one official's signature
Make every emergency order a matter of public record — who voted for it, who voted against it, and why
